How our 42 year old trailerhome became the rescue-base
Right after I bought the seaside house, the trouble started. Things went wrong constantly. Slowly, my newly bought dream home turned into a major Greek tragedy. Why?
* Workers didn't show up in time.
* Delays piled up everywhere.
* Blueprints weren't checked, leading to major mistakes.
* The wrong materials were delivered without anyone noticing.
* Prices were incorrect, and refunds were non-existent.
* Communication with me, the owner, was virtually non-existent..
Neither the mechanic engineer, architect nor the constractor took responsibility for the extra costs - let alone the stress of having to start all over again just to get the work done according our agreements. It was a total mess.
So, I put the trailer on the plot so I was there every day to:
* Check everything on time.
* Speak multiple languages with the workers.
* Find solutions to unforeseen problems.
* Ensure the work was finished and paid for as agreed.
